Cabin in the Woods

 This is my first set of BGs I have done in years. I'm really happy that I got into something outside of my comfort zone of characters.  These BG's are for my Harmony Class I teach at Studio Arts.  We will be using them for a Multi-Plane Layout exercise.

Demetri for "Doctor Strange Love" short.

This is the character I designed for my "Doctor Strangelove" short. The idea is to fill in the other half of the phone conversation in the war room with the actual character Peter Sellers is talking to as president. Demetri to be a heavey set man who is busy fooling around with a woman behind his desk, drinking and having his own private party.

NFH Animation Reel 2010

This is most of the animation I made during the course of the first season of NFH. These shots I felt were the strongest. Sylvain Deboissy and Serguei Kouchnerov did the character layout poses for many of these shots.

NFH main title sequence

The main title sequence to the show was really challenging. We needed to get it done in a week's time. The first 3 shots were animated by me as well as the final 2 shots where all the characters run off and then freeze in time. Sylvain Deboissy did the character layout for most of the shots. His drawings, as always, were a big help.

I took some artistic license with the beak color. It's really dark gray.

The colors of the blue jay reminded me of a police officer. This opened up a small story.

For each "text only" card will be a model posed accordingly. Note that the model is wearing the jewelry.

This painting took me 3 days to complete in photoshop. (God I miss painter X). At first it was just a test to see if the process would work. I couldn't be happier with the results. It feels good to paint again. And better yet, it feels good to paint without all the fuss and mess.

Mr Men "Farm"

I had the privelage of animating a few skits entirely by myself. This one was the first.

Now that this episode has aired, its safe to post. Note that it is unedited. So there are wierd breaks in the audio, the music and sound fx are scratch, and you might see flashes of a red X between shots. I tried to take them out but they keep showing up.

All cards are supposed to match the style, story, and color of each group. Later, an image of a model painted in a film noir style is to be added.

The idea is to communicate to the customer or vendor what the jewelry is made of and tell a story in a fun way. Most description cards I've seen are no different than business cards. They are quite boring.
